Consumer Price Index
Based on the City of Bloomfield's Ordinance 486 which was adopted on July 13, 2020, an automatic increase shall take place equal to the current change in the Consumer Price Index (Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics, Consumer Price Index - All Urban Consumers, Water and Sewerage maintenance (CPI) or its equivalent successor index) over the previous 12-month period ending the previous July 1. Effective December 1, 2022, an automatic increase of 4 percent shall take place unless on or before November 15, 2022, the City Council chooses by affirmative action to cancel.
