Reports
Reports are generally ready within three to five days of the incident. The process is as follows:
  1. Officer writes the report.
  2. Report must then be approved by a supervisor.
  3. Report is forwarded to the records clerk.
  4. The records clerk then merges the report into the AS400 records systems.

In cases are currently under investigation, a report will not be released. Reports containing juvenile information will only be released to a parent or guardian.

Evidence
Evidence is only releasable when a disposition from the District Attorney’s office has been obtained.

Fingerprinting
Fingerprinting is done only on Tuesdays between 2:00 pm and 4:30 pm. There is no fee until Tuesday April 7,2009 when we will implement the Fingerprinting Fee as shown below.
$5.00 for the 1st set of the 2 cards.
$5.00 a card thereafter

Background Checks
You must have proper ID (State issued driver’s license). The fee is $5. It is only a Bloomfield Police Record’s check.
